Position Summary:
The Multisensory devices group is an interdisciplinary research group with a core interest in creating new forms of interactive multimodal user experiences through the design and implementation of novel sensors and actuators.
Position Responsibilities:
- To provide technical support and troubleshooting support for ongoing research projects including the I-Smell EPSRC-NIHR funded project and the TCC UKRI funded textile circularity centre.
- To write technical reports describing specifications for future improvements based on feedback from online and on-site support sessions.
Requirements & Skills:
- The position would be suitable for someone well-organised, systematic and conscientious and has the ability to present complex information effectively to a range of audiences and end users
Qualification & Experience:
- Key ability to provide technical/ troubleshooting support over distance such as phone, or on-site, in participants households, both in London and Norwich (two testbeds studied within this project), and to support other research members in the development of multisensory immersive VR/AR experiences and integration of novel smell, haptics devices into those experiences.
