COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING OFFICER Derby Uni Vacancies

Position Summary:

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop an understanding of the range of activity and the target markets, in order to promote the programme and events.
• Act as the first point of contact for all Make/Shift marketing enquiries.
• Under the guidance of the Creative Producer, create and deliver an annual operational marketing plan, ensuring that the marketing plan is fully integrated with project events, PR and outreach activities.
• Reporting to the Creative Producer, seek to promote Make/Shift opportunities and activities, liaising with the lead consortium partner (University of Derby), the wider consortium members, and relevant delivery partners and stakeholders, in accordance with Arts Council England, Creative People and Places national Portfolio Programme guidance, and University of Derby
• Implement all aspects of the Make/Shift marketing plan effectively and efficiently, monitoring the impact of campaigns and activities, reporting on them and constantly improving return on marketing investment.

Requirements & Skills:

• Ability to identify and anticipate problems, taking the necessary actions to escalate and resolve.
• Excellent eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Highly organised, with excellent time management and the ability to deliver to tight deadlines in a demanding environment.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects and activities within specified time frame.

Qualification & Experience:

• Demonstrable experience of running marketing and advertising campaigns.
• Proven experience of supporting the creation of publications including copywriting.
• Significant experience and demonstrable success of working in a busy marketing environment.
• Proven experience of planning within defined resources and delivering to this plan successfully.
