FanDuel is looking for an Operations Manager to join the VIP Operations team. You will be responsible for managing operational tasks and processes that will facilitate the business in delivering the best customer experience and product offering. In partnership with the Senior Director of Operations you will closely collaborate with FanDuel’s product, commercial, customer service, marketing, risk and compliance teams, among others, to sustainably grow the VIP function as a key part of the larger business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with compliance and risk teams to build and document effective and efficient procedures for all areas within VIP, and train VIP employees accordingly
  • Understand product/commercial needs and how these are translated into functional and technical requirements
  • Manage cross-team dependencies
  • Identify risks and raises concerns in due time when applicable, along with mitigation options
  • Be able to pick up cross-domain projects
  • Consistently communicate with stakeholders and keep them informed of the status of initiatives & requirements
  • Be able to negotiate and reconcile conflicting priorities among stakeholders
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders to ensure projects align with the overall product strategy in your area
  • Is open to dialogue, receptive, calm, and tactful in his relationship with his colleagues
  • Influences senior stakeholders by making proactive suggestions and recommendations and challenging requirements that don’t fit into the wider commercial and technical strategies for the area.
  • React to major incidents in a timely manner
  • Lead projects, workshops and brainstorms across multiple areas. Can organize, lead and follow up on these sessions and ensures the output produced is documented and executed
  • Be comfortable presenting priority decisions to the director level in the business. Highly proficient in scheduling, leading, and executing product demos to a wide range of stakeholders

Requirements and Experience:

What We’re Looking For In Our Next Teammate

  • A minimum of 4-year experience in commercial/analytics/customer intelligence/operations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of business and financial concepts
  • Experience in managing complex and sensitive operational challenges
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, hypothesis-driven with the ability to independently evaluate opportunities, conduct analysis, and make innovative strategic recommendations
  • Competency in data related to business improvement metrics and operational performance
  • Strong organizational & project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Excellent communication skills; skilled at influencing and building relationships across the organization at all levels, including with senior leadership
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive in identifying opportunities and solutions, and areas to add value
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience in leading large-scale projects
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Team player with the desire to bring a positive attitude to a group dynamic
  • Passion for FanDuel and the gaming industry preferred; an avid sports & gaming fan

The applicable salary range/hourly range for this position is $87,000 to $109,000 which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation.
