Requirements & Skills:
- Able to work as part of a team and take instruction from the local Team Leader, whilst demonstrating individual initiative and autonomy for own role and outputs.
- Undertake any other duties as requested by the Engineering Team Leader.
- This role is required to adjust planned work-days given adequate notice to provide contingency of cover, therefore the candidate should be flexible in their approach to this role.
- Experience of operations activities to provide a consistent output whilst balancing varying inputs.
- The ability to adapt plans when alterations are made at short notice, whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ability to digest large amounts of information whilst remining composed.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to use IT tools to best affect.
- Introduce contingency plans as required with all key stake holders. Compliance with all relevant instructions appertaining to the Depot/Station.
- Stabling and start of work plan for Perth on a nightly basis in conjunction with control, signal man and train crew, this will involve dealing with units being allocated to specific diagrams to manage fuel and planned maintenance activities requested by ScotRail Control Staff.
- Applicants should be highly motivated and possess excellent communication skills and be able to recognize the customer’s needs.
